Central Health Education Bureau (CHEB) under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India works in the field of health education, health promotion, capacity building, developing IEC materials, and behavioral research.

Health promotion is critical for achieving health for all. Effective health promotion strategies are essential in addressing the broader determinants of health, reducing health inequities, and tackling current and emerging health challenges to human development. Transformative health promotion actions are needed to ensure improved population health and wellbeing.

Our Institution has played a key role, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and organized orientation training programme for capacity & skill development of medical & paramedical personnel, sensitizing Medical and Nursing students from different parts of the country about health awareness through health education & health promotion.

CHEB collaborates with organizations, authorities, professionals, youth, and community leaders for sustained efforts on awareness on health & wellness

CHEB is working towards establishing itself as Premier National Institute working for health education and health promotion across the country.
